McLeansville is an unincorporated community in Guilford County, just nine miles east of downtown Greensboro, the 65th largest MSA in the country. The statistical area in the Piedmont Triad (Greensboro-Winston Salem-High Point) is estimated at 1,600,000. Publix chose the market to open its 1.2MM SF distribution facility less than a mile from the Dollar General. The development is scheduled to open in Q4 of 2022 and will cost in excess of $400MM dollars. This is one of only ten locations where Publix has constructed one of these facilities. Additionally, Interstate-840 opened an interchange connecting Burlington Highway with the transportation system to the north and south of the City.
