Oswald Cooke & Associates successfully selected and was subsequently awarded its eighth LIHTC location in the State of South Carolina in the last five years. No other real estate brokerage firm has been as successful selecting sites in the state. OCA works statewide selecting suitable sites for a few select developers for spring submittal. Sites are chosen based on location and proximity to previously defined services such as a school, doctor’s office or hospital, public park and/or other recreation area, fire department, police station. In addition to services, the sites are also required to meet other specifications such as zoning, proximity to water and sewer, and environmental specifications. For 2015, applications must be submitted by early March and OCA is already diligently working to identify successful sites.
